Exiled Love

Standing on the edge of society,

A lone soldier in a war you forgot,

Redrawing the borders that separate us.

We lived out lies just to belong,

Altering ourselves to fit the mould

of a civilization long forgotten.

And our love was strong,

Through stolen moments and kisses

In secret hideouts and behind closed doors

But slowly you slipped from my hold,

Into the shadows of the world that exiled our love.

That turned your heart cold and black.

But still I stand across the border, exposed!

My love stronger then ever!

I will not hide or run nor fear the consequences of my LOVE!
