The Urge

I wonder,

If a little bit of this is normal human behavior

This longing,

This aching,

To hold someone so close to your chest

That if you press just a little bit harder your ribs could crack.

If so,

That would explain a lot of things

Like casual sex.

People just need to hold someone close to their chest,

To their hearts.

 

I want you,

More than anyone else.

In fact, there is no one else

I just want.

I have wanting in my blood.

I have this urge

To cradle another soul in my arms

To hold them close to my chest

To breathe in wholeness and breathe out loneliness

I want that soul to be you.
